We have a rigorous program for hiring and on-boarding our Gateway Academy teachers. We conduct typical drug screening and background checks, as well as multiple interviews before a teacher joins our team. Most of our teachers are licensed, however, we also have retired engineers, physicians, and other professionals who are extremely well educated and have a passion for working with students. While our teachers must be highly qualified in the subject areas they teach, our classes are primarily one-on-one, so matching students with teachers is extremely important.
