On Tuesday evening, November 5, 2019, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Learning Lab Nashville is offering a free seminar for parents of gifted children featuring Tim Stambaugh, Ph.D., who is a Child and Adolescent Counselor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Stambaugh specializes in working with gifted children.
Attendees will learn about the social and emotional needs of gifted children, how gifted children might experience emotions differently from their peers, what parents can do to help their children, and how these children can be empowered to help themselves.
Dr. Stambaugh joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2008. An Associate in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences with research interests that include anxiety and depression among children and the social and emotional needs of gifted students, his primary focus is mental health counseling with pediatric clients.
