Studying is a skill.

And it can be learned.

“Have you studied for your test?” you ask. “How well do you know it?” you say. You’ve repeated these questions seemingly hundreds of times. What if you were confident that your child had learned and could apply good study skills? You just might not have to ever ask again. In this free seminar, Maurie Ponder, Assistant Director of The Learning Lab, discusses how study skills are integral to a student’s success and how these skills can be learned. Topics to be covered include strategies for effectively taking notes, organizing study materials, studying for tests, and planning for large, long-term projects.
