Anyone can learn to think better, learn more easily, and make better decisions with cognitive skills training at the Learning Lab. Science, math, reading, decision-making skills, and critical thinking all can be strengthened with Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment (FIE).
Developed more than 40 years ago, FIE is a cognitive intervention program that has proven to be particularly effective in meeting the challenges of special needs children, rehabilitation in individuals with brain injuries and enrichment in underachieving children. FIE helps those of any age to “learn how to learn” by enhancing thinking skills. As an added benefit, it can improve a student’s sense of responsibility – even reduce behavioral issues.
Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment is highly specialized and instructing others in the discipline requires unique certification. Learning Lab educators who teach FIE skills and techniques have all been professionally trained in the discipline and certified to instruct others. Learning Lab educators have taught critical thinking using FIE successfully for more than five years to students of all ages with noteworthy results.
