My wife and I have been extremely impressed with the individual concern about matching our kids with the best teachers (if there is an improper match they are eager to make a change). Pat Elkins and her team have also done a good job of following up to make sure that we are satisfied. Further, they have scheduled meetings with the parents and teachers.
Another great asset is their responsive availability (both management and teachers). Pat strives for success and as a professional has been very competent in accomplishing what is best for her company, the teachers, the kids and their parents.
We strongly recommend Learning Lab and are quite pleased that we discovered it.

I am pleased to share with you the positive impact Gateway Academy has afforded our family. Two years ago, I was referred to your learning center… Our 14 year old son had been let down by both the private and public, school systems in the Nashville area. He was an intelligent, frustrated boy who had endured verbal and physical assault by his peers. Over the course of time, he fell seriously behind in his class work.
Achievement test scores revealed he was several years below his designated grade level. He came to believe that he was socially and academically inferior to his classmates. As a result, he believed that he would never be successful and make it to college.
Upon entrance to your program, my son was thoroughly assessed through a comprehensive psycho-educational evaluation. The clinical testing data and academic recommendations obtained from this evaluation have proven invaluable. This process helped to clarify our son’s individual academic needs, as well as target specific approaches designed to maximize his learning abilities and successes.
Today, he is taking four sophomore-level core courses at Gateway, and often exceeds grade level expectations. He is a self-assured, young man who LOVES TO LEARN and believes that his future is limitless. Your caring, supportive staff taught our son HOW TO LEARN, and more importantly, this experience has helped restore his self-confidence and self-esteem, which is priceless!
