Why I’m With Learning Lab
In addition to my part-time position with Learning Lab, I work full-time as a School Psychologist with Williamson County Schools. I enjoy working at Learning Lab because it gives me the opportunity to extend my assessment skills to serve a variety of students and families in the Greater Nashville community.
My Credentials and Experience
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Business from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Following graduation, I worked for several years in the human resources field. When my daughter entered elementary school, I realized that my heart was calling me to work with children in an educational setting. I returned to return to school and earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and certification as a School Psychologist from the University of Colorado at Denver.
My experience in School Psychology has included an internship with the Cherry Creek School District in Denver, Colorado prior to moving to the Nashville area. I also worked for four years as a School Psychologist for Rutherford County Schools before assuming my current position as a School Psychologist with Williamson County Schools. I have been with Williamson County for the past nine years. In this position, I provide in-school psychological services for children in elementary school and high school.
My experience enables me to provide assessment services at Learning Lab that target each child’s educational needs through careful examination of their individual learning profile.
