Why I'm with Learning Lab
I work at the Learning Lab Green Hills because I believe in the differentiated services and enriched academic experiences we provide to each individual who walks through our doors. I enjoy collaborating with parents, students, and educators in order to set goals and plan for academic success.
My Credentials and Experience
In addition to seven years of classroom experience at Currey Ingram Academy, a year teaching English overseas, and four years as a software developer and trainer at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), I have a Masters of Special Education from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.
I completed an undergraduate Business Computer Systems degree at Taylor University and a Russian Language Studies certificate at Kazan State University, Russia. During the past eight years, I’ve been invited to present at multiple International Dyslexia Conferences, the Lausanne Laptop Institute, iSummit, and the Teacher Educators for Children with Behavioral Disorders Conference (Tempe, AZ).
More About Me
I love leading summer mission trips to Russia, mentoring college students, volunteering in church youth groups, and assisting international students and adults with job interviews and preparation for US citizenship.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my nephews and niece, co-authoring circle journals, photographing nature, running, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, listening to music, baking, and traveling. My all-time favorite travel destinations are definitely Russia, Egypt, and Alaska.
