Why I’m With Learning Lab
My education and working experience have given me the knowledge necessary to provide families and students with comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations. I have also garnered an understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of students and families struggling with academic, behavioral, and emotional issues. All of this has prepared me to be a member of the Learning Lab assessment team in order to assist students and families on the path to success.
My Credentials and Experience
I have been a licensed School Psychologist with Learning Lab since 2007. Prior to this, I was a School Psychologist with Williamson County Schools for eight years. While living in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I was a caseworker and therapist at FHC Cumberland Hall, a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital that provided services to acute patients as well youth receiving residential care in the State’s custody.
I received a Masters of Science degree in School Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 2000. I completed my Masters of Education in Special Education, with a concentration in Emotional Behavioral Disorders, at Vanderbilt University in 2006. While at VU, my research activities focused on developing and implementing Positive Behavior Support plans for area schools.
I continue to work with inspiring mentors and educational leaders to broaden my ability to serve students and families more effectively.
