Why I’m With Learning Lab

I helped start Learning Lab 25 years ago as an extension of my counseling practice, Brentwood Counseling Associates. Working with children and teenagers to address their school-related issues led us to hire a tutor who worked out of our offices. Twenty-five years, 40 tutors, and four psychologists later, we have grown just a bit!
My Credentials and Experience

I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. After two years as a Psychologist with the US Air Force, I founded my first private practice in Houston, Texas, in 1979. Four years later, I joined Brentwood Counseling Associates, co-founded Learning Lab, in 1985, and I have been consulting and conducting assessments here ever since. I have also served as a Consulting Psychologist with the Franklin Special School District and with Williamson County Schools.

My professional emphasis is on counseling adolescents and adults especially in areas concerning ADHD, learning disabilities, religion and psychology.
