Welcome to The Learning Lab's website.  My name is Pat Elkins, and as Director, I have the privilege of helping families, schools and organizations meet their educational goals.  I work with our highly qualified staff of professional educators, consultants, and psychologists.  We help diagnose needs, create interventions, watch progress, and celebrate success!  Our staff provides community seminars and workshops for public and private schools.  My calling has always been education, and my greatest satisfaction is watching our team work together to meet the learning needs of children. 
 
You might like to know that I have a Master’s degree in education, have taught in the classroom, have written curriculum, and have provided consultations for parents, teachers and administrators.  I am a mother of two grown children and a grandmother.  My husband, Dr. David Elkins, is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Brentwood and supervises our Assessment Center at The Learning Lab.  We started The Learning Lab in 1985 and have worked together to establish and grow The Learning Lab into Middle Tennessee's premier learning center.
